This group is dedicated to honoring the life, legacy, and spirit of our dear friend Robert McNamara—known to most simply as Bobby Mac.

His sudden passing left a hole in our community that words can hardly fill. As Steve Caporizzo so perfectly put it, “Bobby Mac was truly one of those special people that lived amongst us to make our world better and brighter.” And as John Gray reflected, “In the 25 years I knew him, I didn't go to a single charity event without seeing Bobby waiting to greet anyone who knew him with a big smile and hug.”

For decades, Bobby showed up—with heart, laughter, and unwavering support—to nearly every golf tournament, gala, and community fundraiser in the Capital Region. He gave so much of himself to others.

Now, it’s our turn to carry that torch.

This space is for sharing memories, stories, and photos—and most importantly, to highlight events being held in memory of our beloved friend. Let’s keep Bobby’s spirit alive by continuing the work he loved: bringing people together for good.
